18 marzo 2005 The Little Penguin White ShirazProducer: The Little Penguin
Vintage: 2005
Country: Australia
Grape: White Shiraz
Another horrible wine. I opened this wine at my wine tasting and no one liked it. Actually, I just threw out the bottle.
The wine has an old pink kinda color. Actually, it looks like watered down blood but the old style dark pink description sounds so much better. The aromas are very bitter and dry. The nose can also notice that this wine is very fermented (too much). It actually smells carbonated. The wine tastes verry bitter, somewhat hinting of cramberry juice.
The wine has a horrible smell, taste and aftertaste. Truly awful. It tastes like a combination of vodka, whiskey and bourbon. Pure alcohol, pure crappy and cheap alcohol.
Score: 0 (yes, even worse than the Sparkling Shiraz)
About Shiraz (the spelling a lot of countries use) or Syrah (France: In the past, this grape was often used to make port. The Shiraz is Australia's most popular red grape.
About White Shiraz: The White Shiraz is a cross between a dry white wine and a rosé.
